A Relaxacon is a gathering for con-loving folks that has little or no formal structure or schedule: No panels, no signings or readings, no long roster of guests.
It's primarily an opportunity for fen, friends, and kin to get together to have a good time.
In our case, it's a picnic!

Picnicon begins around 11:00 a.m. and lasts until duskish.
Maplewood Park offers these amenities:

Basketball Backboard
Exercise Course
Pavilion
Picnic Area
Playground Equipment
(New equipment for 2013!)
Soccer Field

ISFiC provides hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks.
We ask a donation of $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child under 12.
Also, please bring a dessert or side-dish. (But bear in mind that for refrigeration, we depend on several bags of ice.)
And...Please note the Rules, both of which are imposed by Village Ordinance:
1. Possession of any alcoholic beverage on Park District property is prohibited.
2. Smoking is prohibited on Park District property. The parking lot is Park District property. This means that if you need a smoke, you need to leave the property. Sitting in your car and smoking can still get you ticketed and fined.
One more thing: Please make a reservation so we'll know how many hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and related stuff to have on hand. You can make a reservation (or send us any other message or question)
